Excellent shuttle service to the cruise port.

Finding transportation from the train station to the hotel was a nightmare. There were barely any taxis available, and the hotel staff didn’t help when I needed a ride to the port. Moreover, the promised free WiFi was completely non-functional throughout my stay, and nobody seemed to care when I brought this to their attention.

My stay was a culinary delight! The sashimi at the restaurant was fresh and simply exquisite. The dining staff were quite hardworking, ensuring we enjoyed our meals. Our room in the Double Room was spacious and incredibly comfortable, and the hotel provided a big parking lot that was a huge plus!

I had a comfortable stay at the Grand Hotel Mattei. The Junior King Suite was spacious, with a lovely bed that felt luxurious. Breakfast offered a generous selection, particularly the quality coffee and pastries. The shuttle service to the cruise port was a lifesaver and ran smoothly. However, there were some setbacks. The elevators were slow, causing delays when trying to get to breakfast or check out. The location is quite far from the city center, making it a bit inconvenient for sightseeing without a rental car. Also, the air conditioning struggled to maintain a comfortable temperature. Overall, the positives outweighed the negatives, making for a pleasant stay, but improvements are needed in specific areas.

I loved the cozy Double Room, but the bathroom walls were dirty.

Decent Stay with Room for Improvement

The Thematic Family Room offered a cozy space for us. However, the late opening of the restaurant left us scrambling for food after a long day. Make sure to arrive early to avoid delays in dining options. Staff could be more attentive during busy hours.

I had a lovely stay with a clean, modern room and enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant, despite the slow service. I would choose this place again!

Clean room, comfortable bed, generous breakfast with lovely pastries and quality coffee made our stay enjoyable, and the free wi-fi kept us connected while we were exploring the area.

the front desk team was incredibly supportive, helping arrange transportation effortlessly. the dining area offered a great atmosphere, with the food being quite enjoyable, except for a few service delays.

We had a great stay with good sized rooms and stunning views from the 8th floor. The food exceeded our expectations, especially dinner, and breakfast was enjoyable as well. We explored nearby attractions and had a pleasant walk through the historical town, discovering hidden corners and local legends.

Our only downside was the hotel's location, which was not ideal for walking into the city center. It made our sightseeing a bit less convenient without a car.

It was just a solid selection for taking strolls in Ravenna at a reasonable price. Breakfast had a decent variety, especially the fresh pastries. Make sure to ask for espresso instead of trusting the carafes.
